Welcome to the GEPARDs training on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, specifically focusing on the crucial topic of Inclusive Language. In this unit, we will embark on a journey to deepen our understanding of language choices that either perpetuate exclusivity or contribute to fostering an inclusive environment. The Inclusive Language Unit is a pivotal component of our commitment to cultivating a diverse and respectful community.

To enhance your learning experience, we encourage you to engage with the provided resources, including insightful documents from the University of Malta and Amnesty International Australia. These documents serve as valuable references to identify exclusive language patterns, guiding you in the development of inclusive alternatives. Furthermore, our training employs a dynamic approach, utilising video content to reinforce fundamental concepts and facilitate a comprehensive grasp of the material. Start with the presentation and let it guide you to access all the selected resources.

As we delve into the intricacies of inclusive language, we aim to equip you with the skills to create communication spaces that celebrate diversity and promote an atmosphere of understanding.
